UK University Advance Risk Management Course

 Risk Management Course
Risk Management Course
Strong organizations are interested in a culture of risk management in all different fields. To achieve this it requires practical and effective risk management education
The course provides all of those who work as risk employees, as well as those who want to develop their skill in risk management and those, like board members, who bear ultimate responsibility for the risks within their partnership.
Also, everyone who has or is looking for a job in management in any organization will benefit from an understanding of the risks and how to manage them.
This course consists of eight lectures on how to practice a good risk analysis and then apply successful operations to manage it. The course is supported by case studies and audiovisual materials to help explain the varied and complex risk management practices often used in Rolls-Royce and elsewhere widely.

What is the course with the badge? :

While studying risk management, you have the option to work towards obtaining a digital badge.
The badge bearing courses are a key part of the university's open mission to advance the educational well-being of society. The courses also provide another way to help you advance from informal learning to formal education.
To complete the course, you must be able to find about 24 hours of study time, over a period of about 8 sessions. However, it can be studied at any time, and at a speed that suits you.
All courses bearing the badge are available on the Open University website and do not cost anything to study. It differs from traditional open university courses because you are not receiving support from a teacher. But you get helpful feedback from interactive quizzes

Introduction:

In the first session, I began to learn about risk management. I have identified what is meant by “risk”, discussed why it is so important to manage risk, what happens when risk is well managed and what can happen when it is not. I learned about the risks in everyday life and how different people choose to assume different levels of risk.
In this session, you will build on the ideas of the last session by exploring “enterprise risk management” and starting thinking about applying enterprise risk management. You will define the basic requirements for risk management, explore the first steps, and focus on how to define the scope and framework for your risk management activities.
By the end of this session, you will be able to:
• Explain what is enterprise risk management
Understanding risk appetite
• Describe the components of the risk management framework
• Produce a document outlining the scope and context of the activity (RMP or RMP).
